Do you have any equipment to test it? even a $15 hand vacum pump might be all you need to find the problem. Sounds like your actuator chamber is leaking, did this just start happening all of a sudden?
Pull a vacum on the actuator, the valve should open around 13", the actuator should be able to hold vacum indefiniately.

Hope that helps,

Eric

well i have no access to a vaccum pump but by the way what and where is the actuator and what can be done if it is leaking????????????.......it has always done this since i first got it.....now the thing is that i can adjust it till it surges as soon as it hits boost.{which is a good sign cause that shows that the valve isnt leaking undder boost right???....but the thing is that it will still leak at idle....no mader the adjustment it will leak....so i can adjust it as much as i want hard or soft like it says on the valve ,it will still leak at idle ....but this is the weird part when i crank the a/c on idle the whistle gets worse.......i dont know if its has too much vaccum that it opens the valve at idle or if its a problem with the valve itself .....this is just a opinion i have but i doubt it..any ......any other opinions or ideas..i really need some feed back on this prob this thing is getting annoying....im not too good with bov's but i have a idea on how they work and mine doesnt look like its working right.....any one else with this problem???

Greddy recommends not hooking up the lower nipple? Usually the only people I've heard recommend that are people who don't know how to hook it up. The lower nipple gets a pre-throttle body pressure source. Only reason to disconnect it is when you go to the track, IF the bov starts to leak (which it shouldn't if you've tightened it enough).

It will give you bad compressor surge when properly adjusted if the lower nipple is not hooked up.

Hey, I think almost everybody on here who has the type-s with open air intake has the same exact problem. I posted the first post regarding this same problem. The leak is not bad, it's just annoying. My car pull hard and it kinda stop leaking after I drove it. Well, hopefully it doesnt leak under boost. The whistling sound is not so bad.
