So Today I decided to take out my trans and T-Case to send to Shep For a rebuild. I've gotten pretty much everything out but the only thing standing in my way is getting the output shaft out of the tranny. ive tried threading a bolt into it and prying it out but it seems to be really stuck or locked in. Any ideas on the best way to get it out??

Get a slide hammer..

 

Autozone rents decent slide hammers, as a loaner tool.

 

I wound up getting a 1.5lb slide hammer for like 20 bucks and it worked flawlessly
