Car wont boost...help!
Car wont boost...help!
Hey guys a few days back a friend of mine and I installed a few items on the car. Before that, the car was boosting just fine. Here are the modifications we installed:
Ported Intake Mani
Ported Exhaust Mani
Ported Throttle Body
3.5 inch FMIC
UICP(Still using stock 9 bov)
LICP
AEM intake
Megan 02 Housing
255 Walbro
before the car had:
turboback
and another intake
AEM TRU BOOST.
HERE IS THE PROBLEM:
The idle is perfect with an appropriate AF readings. However, when we try to go into boost, it won't go past 2-3 psi and it makes a flutter noise and AF would go all the way lean. What we tried to do is connect the wastegate and boost lines together to see if it would at least boost wastegate pressure but the car still had the same problem. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

With "no boost" you should be hitting wastegate pressure at like 10-11psi. So to only see 2-3psi seems more like your ECU is totally confused by all of the breathing mods you put on. The weirdest part to me is the normal idle.
Sounds like your Walbro installation went awry (bad) or there is an issue with the AEM intake (with the MAF sensor)...Log the car while trying to boost so you actually have data, but my guess is you have insufficient fuel pressure...
So since you have another intake try that one again and see what happens....If the problem is still there then try putting the stock fuel pump back in and see what happens...

So, did you try running a hose directly from the nipple on the compressor housing discharge tube to the port on the WGA? Be sure to plug off the open hose ends that go to the MBC, etc.
Now, try increasing boost by rotating the turnbuckle on the threaded end of the adjustable actuator rod inward(clockwise if looking at the WGA while standing at the passenger side fender and facing in toward the engine compartment). Give it about three full 360* rotations to start with.
