reduce hot air

Ok, I got way too much hot air in the engine bay. I can't drive too long without it sounding like it's gonna blow. Maybe a vacuum prob. I got a megan Mano and megan o2. I felt my turbo today after I parked. And man that **** is hot. My intake pipe is hot too. This is all triggering my intake mani to get hot too. Any ideas, suggestions?

this is how it is dude turbo cars run hot, i would take the manifold off and get it 2000 degree ceramic coated along with the hotside of the turbo and the 02 housing then if you really want to go crazy get some of the heat reflective foil used by shops like CBRD and wrap it on your upper intercooler pipe, dont worry about your intake the air will be cooled by your intercooler

idk what you mean by "I can't drive too long without it sounding like it's gonna blow" could you elaborate and maybe we can help

Agreed please give more detail on "it's gonna blow"
Is there bad engine knock? Have you tried a log to see if the engine is knocking?

A hot turbo is a happy turbo. Hell, people go to lengths to make the turbo hotter.

Get some engine and oil temps before you go calling it "too hot."

Ok here's the picture I doubt ur stock turbo idles at about 2k-3k full warmed up. my intake pipe and INTAKE manifold is burning hot. Vacuum at cold start to 20-30 minutes of driving is -17,-18psi that's normal. Vacuum at idle is -21-22psi(fully warmed up). When I say gonna blow I mean I can hear my engine idle,2x louder than my exhaust. Theirs a difference.

I'll get info on the oil temp and such.

Well clearly something is wrong then, rather than treat the symptoms, treat the problem.Maybe you have a boost leak or a tune problem.

What sounds like it is gonna blow? Try to pinpoint the noise. Put it in nuetral, pop the hood and open up the throttle body.

Do you have a cat or are you cattless? Maybe there is some type of blockage which isnt allowing the exhaust to escape freely.

wait...did you just say your car idles at 2-3k? if your car is idling high then you have a vacuum/boost leak, check all the hoses running to the intake manifold, and yes the intake manifold will be hot thats just how it is, if you want to do something about it you can invest in a heat-barrier gasket, i know magnus makes one for our cars

i checked my buddy's evo 8 intake and IM, his temps by feel was dramatically colder. he had polished intake and open exhaust manifold close to my setup. i'll double check the vac hoses again today and spray some dish washing soap on it see if it bubbles but last night i tightened all the clamps. next ill get tclamps and boost leak tester if all else fails. i starting to doubt its even a leak. I hardly drive it hard. as a dd usually only hit 0-5 psi then shift. when i have it in gear the loud idling goes away but then right when i let it off gear it goes right back into high idle. this happens more in hotter weather like 60+ degrees. any other help would be greatly appreciated.
