help id this licp??

So Just curious as to what brand this Licp might be? THis was on the vehicle when I purchased it. It was replaced, due to damage, with an ETS LICP, straight 2.5", thicker aluminum, and much better quality than the unkown piece. Just seeing if will be possible to identify it to settle my curiosity. Thanks.

It appears to be the AMS LICP however it could also be an ebay copy.

Looks like the old version AMS LICP before they came with mounting brackets.

That's an AMS lower intercooler pipe, we recently removed one from a customers car. We have the exact same one in the shop.

How is the LP2 treating you?

Thanks,

Michael

. Faster spool, very noticeable mod. I can boost to 15-20 psi much easier than before. Im sure that has to do with the design being a full 2.5" with no tapering halfway around, and the fact that my previous one was banged up. Best way to honestly compare it was that it literally felt like a bottleneck was removed. From seat of the pants feel, its an honest 10-12 hp gain. Fitment was also much better than the "ams" mystery unit. It fit perfectly, I inspected for any possible rubbing issues, none. This all went on nice and straight, my old piece just could not line up with all the hoses quite right.
I was very impressed by the quality of the ets licp, and I didnt even opt for the polished version. And especially that you included all T-bolt clamps as well.
I autox my car so losing low end was a concern. After the install I drove it immediately noticed a difference. Acceleration was better, highway cruising at 50-65 in 5th gear feels more like you can overtake a car without downshifting, hehe.
--- I am surprised everyone is saying that is probably an AMS piece. They make quality stuff from what I know, but this piece just seems real flimsy to me, idk.
- Luckily I had time to install before the next auto-x tomorrow, so now I get to see how it feels out there.

maybe I gained a little less, or a little more, but the fact that I can boost 15-20 psi much easier than before is a visual proof that it is doing something. The old one would start to choke up top due to the damage.
Before I purchased my evo I had a modded 1993 mr2 turbo that I used for track days, hpde events, and weekly test and tunes at MAM. testing different setups, exhaust, dp vs gutted cat, etc. stuff like that, and dynoing and retuning to verify afterwards. I was for about a year or so one of the highest rwhp mr2s on stock, with just upgraded compressor, ct-26 turbo. My numbers are on the mr2 registry. dynoed 286hp/269 on a mustang dyno. stock internals. I am SOMEWHAT familiar with what a 10 hp/ 10ft lbs tq at the wheels feels like.
To be honest, for curiosities sake, I would have liked to been able to dyno back to back the differences between these two desgins. But the fact that my original piece was damaged would have made it unfair.
