Are the engine harness' the same for both the 5 speed and the 6 speed?

Also, how do you go about disabling the immobilizer in the ECU? Is this necessary if you want keep the same ignition keys of what?

Just finished wiring my evo 8 with the evo 9 harness and ECU. Got the immoblizer code of the old ECU to flash onto the Evo 9 ECU. Engine goes in next weekend!

yes exept the part that plugs into the trans. the 6 speed has a different connection, but you can cut and solder/splice in the gsr plug or vice versa

i made 2 month ago the complete engine swap in my MR
the tranny 6 speed plugs are diferent i just cut the entire plug from the harness and change entire plug.

vince . you already start your engine .>? if not i know the reason.
