I curious to see what the problem is. I think the push style conversion is similar to the carbonetics clutches... Maybe people that use carbonetics can chime in too...

It goes into gear with the engine off because the flywheel is not turning.

It cannot be put into gear with the engine running because, barring any external problems, the HRB is not pushing the PP springs far enough to release the discs from the spinning PP/flywheel.

If the HRB isn't functioning properly, it points to a hydraulic issue, or, an geometry issue at the HRB itself. I trust you followed the installation instructions to the letter with regard to checking the geometry at the HRB? Were shims required?

the pressure plate required 1mm to be shaved off

When the car was off the ground and in the air. Was the car running? Did it go into all the gears?

Did you end up modifying the pressure plate like was sent with the instructions when buying the clutch?

You have to modify the pressure plate on a new clutch kit made for our car?

Have you tried adjusting the slave cylinder rod?

Good luck.

I always recommend clearancing the pressure plates (Covers) on twin disk just to make sure everything is flush on the flywheel and clear of the friction surface of the flywheel.

Its not needed, but its always good to make sure everything is good to go! I have had to do some cleaning up on Exedy's , Quartermasters, and even a few Carbonetics. Doesn't hurt to be safe

Adjust clutch, bleed it again, did you make sure the TOB set back in the car? sounds like it, check all clutch cables and such, check everything hooked to tranny, unhook reinstall.

clutch isn't fully disengaging, so either clutch pedal needs more adjusting or your hydraulic tob assembly isn't installed correctly

make sure it's bled properly

gravity bleed first

sometimes you have to hold the pedal by hand and go almost to the floor and almost, but not all the way, back up, as you bleed it. couple 3 times.

It's a 2 person operation

Look inside if you can at the slave through the OEM T/O fork hole, with a mirror maybe and see if it's moving when the pedal is pushed.

or borrow a Snap-On camera bore scope (sweet!)

the pedal adjust should be tight as possible but with just a little play before it starts pushing the push rod. IOW not solid, a little looseness. If it's too tight the master won't work right, won't bleed right, all kinds of issues.
