Engine break-in on e85?
I have to break in my new engine, and I have been running e85 for over a year now. I just want to see if it would be ok to break it in running e85 (that's what I have in the car right now). Due to my next event in 2 weeks I don't have time to switch things.

You may want to be damn sure those 1200's are scaled properly BEFORE you start it up. I can't tell you how bad your engine will do while washing E85 down the cylinder walls on top of the fact that the rings are not fully seated yet. I would advise sticking with the 880's to break in the motor and then get the 1200's in the day of the tune. Less chance of damage.

I'd suggest keeping the boost turned down to WG during the first few hundred miles or so.
High vacuum is supposed to be best for break in. Accelerate slowly then let off on gas so the high vacuum sucks the rings against the cylinder walls. Then repeat while increasing to higher rpm points.

It's all fine, but I don't have that time. The event is in 2 weeks, we took the motor out today. I have to break it in and still get a tune. I don't think we're going to put 880cc back in and then swap to 1200cc. We'll have to do with 1200cc in the car. My main concern was e85 break in.
Thanks guys
