Best bang for the buck mod?
Stage 1 - Breathing Stage
1. Full Exhaust from the turbo Back - Test pipe is optional
2. 02 housing
3. Lower Intercooler Pipe
4. Amsoil Intake with MAF Adapter. - Please do not put a pipe on the car It will cause funky stalling and idling problems Stock intake is good however until about 350whp. But if you know you'll eventually want more power just get it now.
5. Re-Tune for these parts
This should put you around 325 whp
Stage 2 - Power Adders
1. Kelford 272 Cams with GSC Behive Springs Stock retainers are good enough for now.
2. 255 Walboro Fuel Pump
3. 880 Injectors
4. Front mount intercooler
5. Re-Tune for these mods
This should put you around 365whp on pump gas.

Thanks in advance. Sounds like the OP and I are on a similiar quest.
Do you need a manual boost controller if you get a tune? I'm aiming for 330whp. So far I have a K&N drop in, AMS turboback with test pipe and ETS LP2 to be installed. I am on the fence about getting a cone filter and fuel pump since my goals are 330. I plan on having Jestr tune my car once the TBE and LP2 are on. Do you guys think I need to add a cone filter and fuel pump for my target power goals? Also do I need a manual boost controller or can boost be controlled by the ECU tune?
Thanks
Thanks
You dont "need" those things to get what you want. A boost gauge is always nice. Worry about the upgraded map sensor and gm boost solenoid later down the road.

since its a IX MR... in your shoes, if all you want it some quick bolt on power for a fun street car...
injen intake kit with upper and lower IC piping - 350
turbo back exhaust - 300-800 depending on what you want
hallman RX pro MBC - 80 used
tune at 23psi - 250 usually
ACT full face street disc clutch - 900 with flywheel
underhood shifter bushings- 35 (changes the whole feel of the shifter)
you will easily have 350-360 awhp, and have no problems at all, as long as you dont shift passed 7K RPMs, and you dont bang 5th gear... the car will last forever with basic maintenance and that power level... i have almost the same setup, minus the clutch and upper IC pipe, and my car pulls like a raped ape
