Headgasket question

I've got a new OEM headgasket from a customer's car that was installed and torqued down, but never run on. It was removed and swapped out for a Cosworth gasket before we ever even turned the motor over.
As it turns out, I believe I may have damaged my headgasket at a recent track day and now I need one. Do you think that this particular a headgasket is junk or would it be OK to use? I have no problem spending the money on a new one because I do not want to do this again, but I found this one the other day, and you would never have a clue it had even been on an engine. What do you guys think?
