CompClutch

well, I finally got my car back today after waiting 5 effing months, within 4.1 miles my throw out bearing popped out, the clips on the pressure plate wouldnt hold it, warranties are nice, now i have to overnight my pressure plate to comp, and wait for them to ON one back to me, but my question is, should i really have to worry about having the exact same problem again with it? Has anyone run a compclutch/ anyone running a compclutch???

Which one do you have stage 3 or stage 4? Never mind just noticed in your sig that you have stage 4.

Sh*t I just got my stage 4 and will be installing it next week.

Do you know if the throwout bearing they provide is an actual OEM peice ?

No idea, george is working on it for me, he said he hadnt seen a ring and throw out bearing like that before, so I guess all I can do is pray that the replacement pressure plate holds up, I can't afford anything else right now

I have the Comp Stage 3 clutch and its been fine for me. I have almost 10k miles on it and plenty of street and autocross abuse.

For aggressive street driving the Stage 2 should be fine for your setup, but if you plan on launching the car (auto-x, drag, etc.) or driving it competitively I'd recommend either the Stage 3 or 4. The Stage 2 has a little more holding power over the stock clutch, so if the stocker has given you plenty of life and suites your driving style you'll be fine. If you want to drive the car hard and felt your setup killed the stock clutch fairly quickly, then you should look towards the 3 or 4.

I have the competition stage 4 and I only put like 2k miles. When I'm at a dead stop and take off again, it's very harsh and shakes a lot. the clutch also makes this very loud and annoying metal to metal screeching sound. It sounds like when you have really bad brakes. And just last like I tried to do a 2nd gear pull and tried shifting into 3rd, it won't go in until the rpm drops to 2500 rpm. same with 3rd to 4th. The clutch also chatters hella loud. Have anyone had this problem? Is your car suppose to vibrate because it's a 6 puck? Can it be because of a loose flywheel bolt
