BR 3065 w/Tial wastgate fitment issues

Does anyone have any insight for me I have my turbo installed (BR 3065) and I threw on the wastegate (Tial 44) and it's practically rubbing all over my radiator. When I put the banjo fitting on the top its all actually pressing the radiator a bit.

Is this a common thing for this kit? I can't seem to find any guidence on if I need to modify my radiator clamps or just let it potentially rub a hole in my radiator.

Thanks in advance.

Buschur has a thing called a phone or email or pm. If your having issues with something you bought from him just talk to him, he will take care of you.

The wastegate and dumptube has a lot of adjustability so you just need to play around with it. When I installed that kit I think I aimed the dump tube further back near the compressor outlet.

the wastegate itself shouldnt rub.

the dump tube will if its not rotated properly. i loosen the clamps on the wg/mani and the wg/dt, rotate them around until you find a spot where it doesnt hit the radiator or the LICP

id like to see your results after you get it tuned too. not too many 30's around. do you have the HTA variant?

Are you using both fittings on the wastegate? Most of the time you only use the fitting on the side of the wastegate. Also, with a 44mm you can rotate the wastegate by adjusting the v-band, which might help with clearance to the radiator / dump tube. I would double check to make sure your not using the wrong air fitting location. The top is for dual port configuration.

Good Luck!

Michael

Even with that top banjo bolt it shouldn't hit the radiator. Can you take a picture?

I agree, it was just a suggestion =) It's hard to tune with using just the top wastegate fitting.

My friend is running the same kit if its the BR3065 cast setup, I'm assuming it based on the pictures and his doesn't have that issue at all. I will probably see the car today, if I do I will take a pic of that section.

Wouldn't hurt to give buschur racing a call and maybe they could help also.

bump for you...
