best spark plug to get for evo 8?

It mostly depends on what your mods have and how much boost you are running. If you are mostly stock then go for the NGK BPR7ES. They cost about 2 dollars a plug so you may as well buy 2 sets. If you have a moderate setup then BPR8ES will be good. If you have a crazy setup then go BPR9ES.

Gap them to about 0.028.

Did you check the gap out of the box before installing them the first time? The coppers always come gapped WAY wide and never are the same from one plug to another as delivered. The coppers don't come pregapped. At least that's been my experience.

Would a turbo back exhaust and upper intercooler piping runing 18lbs still call for a bpr7?
