Mivec IX valve cover on VIII engine?

Curious if the Mivec IX valve cover will fit on the VIII engine. I have one that I was going to shave the Mivec lettering off and powder coat but didn't want to start on this project unless I know its going to fit my engine. Tried to search on this and came up empty.

Thanks! I'll look up the gasket part numbers and if they're different then maybe not.

I could care less if its a VIII or IX valve cover. I just happen to come across one dirt cheap and it made more sense cost wise if it would fit my engine. I was going to shave the lettering anyway.
