working in a friend car i notice when i stop and turn the wheel complete for one side car will lock and dont want to run,all this happens after install a haltech platinum on a evo8.its sound to me like spider gears problem in the transfercase,remember me welded diferentials on the hyundais y usually work.will check for oil levels first but the guy change the clutch a few months ago so i dont now what type of gear oil he use but for sure wasnt genuine or redline,amsoil stuffs.

 

well if he used wrong oil then its probably going to fail, and can be the culprit,
the driveline needs specific oils, especially the transfer case

 

if the tires lock up then iots the t-case~~~ i had the same problem . it was the diff.... fix it now or it ill toast ur t-case for good!
