My Buschur 2.3 stroker with hta 86

Well my car is finally done!!! I have the buschur 2.3 stroker with turbo trix manifold, hta 86 turbo, 272 cams, ect ect. All i have to say is the buschur motor runs like a champ and the turbo trix manifold is amazing. The only down fall is that im running the stock ecu on the car. My car put down 450whp 390 tq at 21psi the stock ecu kept pulling timing. So with a AEM i should be well over 500whp but that wont be for a few weeks. I will upload some pics of everything later. But i just wanted to thank all the guys at turbo trix for the amazing job they did. And buschur for the great motor .

Mellon might disagree on the stock ecu being a downfall

Reason i said that is when they were tuning the car the stock ecu kept picking up false knock. Then it just started pulling timing thats why my numbers are so low for a setup like this. With AEM they said the car would be well over 500whp on pump.

You can adjust the knock tables on the stock ECU.

+1 Save the $$ you'll dump into AEM and spend some time learning the stock ECU, you'll be WAY happy!

Well the place i took to tune said they can't make anymore power with the stock ecu. Is there any place in NJ that is really good with tuning the stock ecu? I rather not spend 2grand if i really don't have to. I rather spend that 2 grand for stronger gears for my 6 speed .

Apparently they can't be THAT great tuning the stock ECU... maybe you should hit Mellon up for a REAL tune. Only $350... it's a damn steal for what that man does.

OP: DEFINITELY go to Mellon! He is going to be tuning my car with the same turbo and Buschur 2.3 motor in a few weeks and he is EASILY going to be able to crack huge numbers on just 93 pump gas on the stock ecu AND maf.. It sounds like you have a good setup with supporting mods so just go to him and you will be VERY VERY happy!! Mellon Tuning FTW!!!

ToMuchBoost: I'm pretty sure that your initial post was to let people know that you appreciate the work that they have done to your car to get it to where it is at now.

Don't let any of these guys change the context of this thread by pushing you into something you are not comfortable with. If something within you tells you to get an AEM then by all means do it. It's your car and your the one who has to drive it. Not them.

I'm not baggin the stock ECU, I personally use a Motec M800 and find there are strong arguments for going back to the stock ECU and there are strong arguments for sticking with the standalone. At the end of the day it is your own preference, your own car and you have to be happy with it.
