Idle Stays At 1200RPM

Alright, i searched the forums. People have some what close problems. but not exactally.

The car idles at around 1200. Never goes up or down. I reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery. Car idled at 850 for about 7 min or so. Soon as the fans came on it idled at 1200 and never went down again. I let it sit, drove it around. Nothing, just keeps idling that 1200rpm.

I pulled the IACV out and cleaned it, cleaned the MAF, swapped in a new filter, new throttle shaft seals, checked for vacuum leaks, and i have boost leaked it and it check out fine.

I have no idea what the issue is.

Mod List:

HKS Intake
Injen Intercooler Pipes

Thanks for any help or input.

I'm not no professional by any means however, are you able to access your ECU to check where the idle is set at? I'm not sure if your car is tuned or how it was tuned but it could be the case there.

Are you tuned? I'm betting it has to do with your HKS intake pipe since those are known to cause goofy MAF readings.

Did this start out of nowhere or did you install something new?

I've seen a couple cases where the thermostat goes bad and the idle gets a little annoying.

Cheers!

Thanks for the input guys.

As far as the tune goes, its still on the factory tune. We checked it with evo scan.

I'll try and swap out the hks mesh style filter for a standard cone filter and see how that goes.

If the thermostat was bad wouldnt my coolant temps also be all over the place?

Turn idle down VIA BISS screw on top of throttle body.
