Mine got loud about 6 months after putting it in, and it never had a problem for the 1.5 years I had the car afteer that. Would be exceptionally loud after a track day or a long freeway drive.

Don't like it? Put your car back to stock and get the stock fuel pump! Or take the risk of running the stock pump with a modded car. (Or go get a different pump, as someone suggested).

You want to really hear it whine, then turn on the AC for a while. Completely normal.

I did an online chat with them but I kept getting disconnected, I ask them if that the Denso P/N# 9500123 pumps close to or more than the Walbro FP and they said yes however, they asked me what I was trying to do with my car and then they all of a sudden stated its the exact replacement of the stock Fuel pump from our cars.

That threw me off, just before I was going to ask why were they saying it pumps as much if not more than a Walbro, I got disconnected.

Hook a brotha up!

They don't call 'em Whinebros for nuthin'.

The one in my Eclipse is especially loud because I removed my backseat and that's where most of the sound deadening was, the little bit of carpet I put back there doesn't help much. I want to say it gets a bit louder as the tank gets closer to empty and of course when the a/c is on and the fans cycle. Get used to it, unless there's some wildly drastic change in pitch and/or volume, I think its fine.

It sure does and it would be nice to see if someone can actually find out... I'm not able to at work in the dessert. Anyway, there are many other fuel pumps out there however, I have seen a couple different types of FP that "suposedly" perform well if not close to the Walbro and much less quieter...

Yes well all know it's an EVO, but if there is a FP that performs as well as the Walbro and if not better and much quieter, I'm sure there's going to be a lot of owners in here leading towards that direction.

So apparently Denso does not make an aftermarket fuel pump for the Evo specifically. At least that is what both Car-Stuff.com and Denso (US) are saying. If they did make a pump, they said it would be a direct OEM replacement, so not a higher fuel flow.

Anybody have any other options?

Would a Holley Eclipse fuel pump fit?

just tell people that your compressor tank is filling up for your air ride suspension... haha...
mine has the same whine. it gets annoying sometimes, but it's nothing to worry about. thought it was a bad batch or something before, but seems like everyone i know personally and on here that has one makes the whine.

Like someone else said. It's a whinebro 255lph. They all do it straight out of the box. My dual whinebro setup in my dsm is kinda ridiculous.
