So here is a list of parts I have. They are all sitting at my house and I’m deciding when to put them in. My problem is should I wait and build the bottom end. Every other car that I have built the bottom end blow up around 20,000 Miles.
I am not really hard on them and don’t hot rod it every where. I just don’t want to set my self up for a line of problems also any parts you think I should add before putting it all in let me know to make it a better daily driver. I’m still deciding on a clutch but don’t want to spend $1200 what should I get? I also want to buy new motor mounts what kind is best for the money? Again any thing you think I should add to make this a reliable daily driver and should I build the bottom end? Also Im looking for a Full Race Exhaust mani if any one is looking to get rid of one
FP red (want to run 26 psi)
RC 1000cc injectors (converting to E85)

Ported stock TB
Jun 272 Cams
Jun Valve springs
Jun Retainers

HKS boost controller
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Cobb Intake
Arp head studs

there are plenty of cars out there on the stock bottom end making big power. i would leave it as is and have a "built bottom end fund" set aside just in case.

What are your power goals? 400-450whp?(no) or 500-550whp?(maybe) 600+?(oh heck yeah)
If you are just looking for around 400-450whp and have a good cooling system (i see you said e85) then you should be good with the stock bottom end just as zeus1 said and you dont have to worry about your oil pump failing early.
that looks very simple to what im building so good luck; how do you like your jun cams?
Pm me and i can send you my build sheet.

Might as well drive it and enjoy it for a a while and see if it blows up on its own. With a conservative tune and you not beating the pi$$ out of it on a daily basis you could enjoy it for quite some time, and mean while save up $$$ for a built motor... But if you can afford it now I would go for it with the red set at 30+ psi where it puts down serious numbers... and BTW you might consider investing in a twin disc clutch, which unfortunately would be over your $1200 (optimal) budget... quarter master/Exedy/CBRD etc. Might be able to find a used low-mile one for sale within your price range...

<-- Same boat. Looking for around 500whp without going insane on the car. cpoku, PMing you now
the price of a built motor goes up considerably if you blow your stock one first
