Yeup, none so far. Shims/no shims, diff. springs, different orientation... all the same. Still need to experiment a little...

YELLOW DAMNIT. Yellow is what forge recommends and yellow is what I use (no shims) I haven't had a problem yet.

you can buy it direct from forgemotorsports.com or vivid racing i know has it.
make sure you get the spring kit with the valve, they are sold together now as one kit. some companies like to seperate them and sell them seperatly, and screw the customer. i was one of these unfortunate people.

Don't get crazy and ask a logical question - you'll throw off some people...

I am still undecided about all of these BOVs - it seems every brand has one issue or another.

you are right. each evo responds diffrently to diffrent springs as you can see in the poll. i pesonally am using a blue spring in the valve and insalled it in the reverse position. the stock position was flutteriring in 5th gear. i pesonally like forge and their customer service is great, i had a few phone call with tom over at forge, which helped me fix the flutter problem.

but as said above all valves will have thier issues, could be immediate or a few miles later.

It seems like the RPM's surge when shifting after I put in my Forge DV... is this my imagination or can a DV cause this?

PS- I don't seem to hear any fluttering from the valve..

I could not say it better myself. I am currently using the same setup. Blue spring, reverse position. Love it.
Also I couldn't say enough good things about Tom at forge. I had a few long phone calls with him. He told me he had a guy that was running the DV reverse because of 5th gear flutter. I went out and flipped mine around and it hasn't fluttered yet. Great customer service.
BTW: Get your Forge DV from MachV.com. Great bunch of guys with customer satisfaction in mind.

None of the above. It still fluttered and made the car buck. I tried all those and then some. I gave up on the unit and went to the Turbo XS type 34. Works like a dream right out of the box.
