WHOA... thank you all for your input... gives me much to think about...

Things I am taking from this thread based on peoples opinions...

1. 272 cams work and some have found it better than stock across the board... some have said it isn't that great.

2. 264 works for stock turbo well and provides good mid range torque increase

So the toss up for us is 264 vs 272s... now just to find some dyno comparisons of a stock setup with these cams (I can dream) but if anyone has info post it up

Thanks again everyone, and please keep posting feedback and comparisons as you upgrade your cars. I think there are quite a few people who would want to know the best compromise on a drop in cam for their stock turbo evo

If your using this sheet to compare GSC 1 to GSC 2's 264-272 I don't think its quite accurate. Correct me if I am wrong aren't GSC 1 more aggressive then both HKS cams??? Somebody chime in!

Thats a good comparison, thank you very much! I don't know anything about the GSC cams but all the HKS 272's seem to do is move the curves left about 200rpm. It shows that on an inferior setup (intake) and a stock turbo with all other things being equal the HKS 264s are identical power wise.

I thought you needed springs and retainers if you were going to rev over 7k. Its the same way with the GSC. HKS and COMP are really the only cams that you don't need springs and retainers.
