should I install injectors?
correct. although it is not ideal and ur injectors are working over their most efficent and accurate percentage they will still flow up to i believe 120idc before you hit fuel cut. I drove my car for about 6 months with numerous track runs and logged 114ish idc and the car ran just fine. i currently have bigger injectors now but to answer ur question, yes. 100% is ok for some time, just not ideal.
Based upon the modifications you mentioned, I do not see any reason to run upgraded injectors at this time. What are your goals with the car? Dyno Queen? Drag? Auto X? Time Attack?
I'm currently pegging 92-94% IDC with 22psi and the mods in my sig. So I figured if I were to turn up the boost any more, I should definitely get bigger injectors. But a buddy of mine who has even more mods than I do on an Evo8, went to get a Jestr tune and he turned up his boost to 25psi, still on stock injectors
That's why I'm thinking above 100% IDC on Evoscan might be within reason still?
That's why I'm thinking above 100% IDC on Evoscan might be within reason still? Also air fuel ratio obviously makes a big difference... if you're running richer than he is then your IDC's will be higher.
Anyone over 90% IDC should get bigger injectors, no question. And get them large enough so that if/when you upgrade your turbo, you don't have to change them again. You will get the most power and the best spray pattern at 80% IDC, so take that into account.
