Lower IC pipe question, NEW one, I think...

Ok, so I did a search a nd did not find what I was looking for. Lower intercooler pipe question. I read for 400 whp a 2.25 turbo outlet to intercooler, 2.5 to intake.
500whp 2.5 all the way. Should the IC pipe be taperd, or just get the straight 2.5? I thought we had 2.5 sizd piping? Maybe I misread.

Edit: I guess nothing special about a replacment, except for size right?

Thanks in advance.

you can get a 2.5" all the way through then just use a reducer coupling to connect to the turbo

What's the diameter of the turbo outlet? In other words, assuming you have a 2.5" LICP, what should the reducer coupler go to 2.5"--> ? (2.0"?,1.8"?)
