For same price - AMS 3.6" vs ETS 4.0" IC

I've been quoted pretty much the same price for both intercoolers. (Within $30 shipped)

I'm running stock turbo with full bolt ons, probably won't go bigger in the future - but I know the "go bigger now so you don't have to worry about it later" argument.

Let's just keep it very simple, with a car with TBE, intake, ported coated manifold and o2, all piping etc - which intercooler would you go with and why?

I have no affinity at this point in time for either company, both were pleasant to deal with and answered my questions. The car has upper and lower ETS piping if that makes any difference (purchased that way)

Thanks for any input.

I'd go with ETS personally, but both are very good designs and will work pretty much equally well. I do like ETS' tank design and also think it looks nicer.

ETS will build you the "4." inch intercooler using the high efficiency Garrett 3.8" core for the same price as their 4" intercooler. It's the same core as the Buschur Race intercooler but $100 cheaper.

I would go ETS. Even if you don't want to upgrade to a larger turbo it's still fine on the stock turbo. You will see a few gains due to the cooling efficiency of the 4" ETC IC. I may get one in the near future. Right now I have an AGP 3.5" IC but my fins look like a fat chick sat on them. So ya... need a new one!

I've run ETS intercooler kits on all of my 4g63 powered rigs and have been nothing but happy. 1-2-3 street rips see almost a zero degree increase in AIT from beginning to top of the pull and the product fits great and looks great too. ETS FTW!

That is legit! Thanks for posting that Michael. I may try and get a 4" ETS IC soon. It might help me over my AGP 3.5". Thanks

No Problem! Those guys at English Racing know what's going on, If they recommend something they are probably right! I wouldn't trust anyone else in the area with my vehicle.
