"Upgrade" from Injen LICP

Has anyone "upgraded" their Injen LICP to a fully open pipe like the Nisei/AMS/ETS?

Did you feel or measure any difference on a stock turbo modded Evo?

Starting to consider going from Injen full pipe set to Nisei w/ mini battery in the future. Especially if I go from Evo 8 turbo to FP Red. Thanks for any input!

I did and believe it was good for a few pones. I believe more than anything it helped the car spool more, and be more efficient. Its a great cheap mod.

Thanks, where can I get a RT/Ernie LICP?
So, basically it helped with faster spool. For less than $150, I should upgrade.

He is a friend of mine that builds sick ****! He custom makes true 3" 02 Housings and pretty much anything you can think of. He took my Injen LICP and chopped it off where it necks down and then re-weldeds it like the ETS LICP. Its great and works wonders. He may be willing to make you one and send it to you but not to sure since you are in NY. He would need your LICP to fab it correctly. It would kinda be a pain so it may be easier to just get the ETS one.

Thanks for the info.
Yeah, I would proably sell it and get a Nisei, AGP or ETS.

Could you tell me how much boost you are running?

My tuner is working on my Evo these last few days, and I'm still trying to decide what PSI to go with. I appreciate your time!

ya go ETS or Nisei. I'm running 30lbs but may be 32-33lbs by friday. I'm going back to the dyno with a few more goodies.

Well it depends on your mods and if you are on pump, pump+meth, race gas etc... lmk and i'll help you out

Well, you are definitely going above and beyond what I am doing.

My Evo, power-wise was stock for 6+ years/70K+miles.
Stock clutch and daily driven until 3 days ago.

It is at Mojo/Adam out here in L.I. NY, and he is working on it last few days.

My mods will be :
Apexi intake w/HKS pipe, Apexi downpipe, Megan O2, HFC, Apexi WS2 w/ modded full3" midpipe w/ RRE resonator (keeping it quiet), Injen U&LICP, PWR intercooler,
660CC Greddy injectors,Walbro 255lph, HKS 264/264, Hallman RX pro, APS BOV, and Exedy Stg1 w/ clutch line.

I thought about response over peak power for all the NY traffic I have to deal with. Thanks Toshi

I would tune for around 25lbs on pump gas, imo get METH!!!! You may be able to get more but it really all depends on your tuner. Up here in the NW English Racing can get up to 27+lbs on pump on stock turbo.

To tell you the truth I am not sure how much difference it makes, I can tell you that in my mind having the LICP 2.5" all the way to a reducer coupler is better than a welded neck down in the middle of the piping... Also you may wanna check out a Muse LICP from either MAP or vr-speed... they are cheap and are 2.5" to a reducer coupler... to me piping is piping...
