Will the HKS suction intake fit 3" or 4" turbo inlets?
Basicly trying to make sure all of my parts are ready to roll when I get home from my military contract.
The PO had installed a HKS intake on the stock turbo.
Well I have an FP 80mm red, and I am considering a 35R - With a 4 inch inlet. So - my question is -- because I for the life of me can not remember.. but is this intake ONLY good for stock turbos? or does it neck down at the turbo? Hell will it even fit my RED?
Thanks for anyone who might know? Or be able to walk out to their cars and check.

I don't have any pics at the moment but I did just install the Racing Suction intake on my Evo X and it necks it down at the turbo, but not so much that it wouldn't fit on an FP Red. I plan on using the same intake when I get my FP turbo. I'm figuring as long as that rubber hose piece can fit that connects to the intake piping between the turbo you can use that turbo....I haven't heard of too many folks having any fitment issues with using the HKS.....

Speaking as when I had my Evo VIII ( I had the racing suction on that too). I checked the website for HKS and it says 80mm......and he mentioned 80mm FP Red so there something right there to check out.....as long as you can get that rubber piece to fit over the inlet it should be good....

I just checked the FP site for that turbo (80mm)and it looks like that intake will fit with no problem. Stated that even with the 80mm comp cover it should fit a 3in standard intake (which sounds like the HKS to me) by using a 3in coupler. I've been eyeing a FP Red for my X....looks like they have a sell going on...hmmm...
Is this the turbo you have? Or is it similiar?

If it is the same turbo or similiar, I would buy that straight coupler ($8) and see if your HKS intake would fit instead of spending more money on the Buschur intake (good products). Why spend the money if you don't have to? $8 coupler or $200 something intake.....

Yes- that is the turbo I have.

Ha. I work FOR the military. I am not in the military.
My employer is the DoD, through various large contracting companies... Lockheed Martin, Boeing, DS2, L3 Communications, BAE systems, etc.
