Lower vacuum after switching to a different BOV?

I recently swapped out my stock EVO IX BOV for a Synapse BOV. After the install, I noticed that my vacuum at idle is now -14 as opposed to the -16 it used to be when I had the IX BOV in. I double checked all my lines and nothing seems be loose and all clamps are on tight. I did have to go to Pep Boys and buy a curved radiator hose to use for recirculating the BOV because the stock recirculating hose wasn't long enough to reach. The new hose is kinda stuffed underneath the UICP and it has some slight bends in it, but I wouldn't exactly call it "kinked." Could that possibly be affecting my vacuum? Is because I'm not tuned for the Synapse BOV? Any other ideas?

Note: I have larger cams but my vacuum was -16 even with the cams.

i think any issues that could arise from the curved rad hose being bent would be most noticable driving -- if you're not having throttle/ idle issues while driving i would scratch that.
as for the new synapse bov having less vacuum compared to stock it could be do to the strength of the spring in your stock vs the synapse bov -- something to ask: are you still recirc or vta? the design of the synapse is a pull type flange, which could be different than the stock or prior bov/ dv you ran to the synapse -- that i don't know.

gl bro.
