Synapse BOV installed in IX MR review
I installed my Synapse BOV today, first impression was that it would be a pain to install but it's not. All you have to do is rotate the intake towards the radiator and it fits perfect, I have the new version of their bov so it did not have Port C, (boost source). All you do is split the vacuum line to both port A and B and that's it. I tried running only port A but it fluttered.
Now on the drivability
Way better than stock
Faster turbo spool
Hardly ever flutters( I tried very hard to make it flutter and only got it to do it once)
No compressor surge what so ever
I went from an ix diverter valve to a greddy type S and then to the synapse. And I gotta say the synapse is the best.
Sound- pretty loud, you can hear it even thou it's recirculated.
And no boost leaks at all.
Bov came with everything you need to recirqulate, you just gotta order the correct flange to suit your needs, since I was recirqulating I got the evo flange instead of the weld on flange.
So I think anyone lookin to upgrade to a new bov that this is the best choice and it's not very expensive and very easy to install

Have this BOV as well and have had nothing but issues with it. Its certaintly not working well on my setup. I have horrible surge on the highway when under partial throttle but still in boost. Tried every option as well as setting. Whats your mods maybe my UICP is casuing the issue?

you gotta see the difference i had before and after, when i had the greddy, the turbo spools, you shift, then you hear the turbo spooling again correct? with this bov its a faster/quicker to do so, and when the car is at idel the engine sounds alot more alive if that makes sense and revs quicker.

I'm thinking of picking up the Synapse DV. The general sense I get is that it's one of the best out there, but you need to install it right to avoid fluttering issues.
