ACT 6 Puck?
Hi. I am not sure exactly what your budget is including possibly a flywheel and install. The puck clutches offer harder engagement and are a little rougher on the car. That being said they def hold power all day and like others have said is great for launching. I have known ppl who experience terrible lockout and others who have non. Again, hit or miss.
When I was looking into a clutch I wanted a twin disk but cudnt offord one. Needed a clutch to hold power, no lockout possibilities, and wasn't bad for a dd. Not many ppl on here run them but I went with a clutchmasters stage 3. Your making more power so a stage 4 mite be better suited for your car, it holds great, only slightly heavier than stock, smooth engagement, and is perfect for a dd/track combo.
Like everyone said if u have the money go twin disk the first time. If not this may be another possible alternative. Gl with w.e route u choose

Here's the best price you could probably find.

The only clutch you can find for 400 is probably for a dsm which cost almost half as much as evo clutches.
I would say try fidanza, it won't quite break the bank and it has good reviews and buschur recommends it.
I think this one would suit your needs.

I got mine from the good guys up at jsc speed. They will meet or beat any price u find out there, all u have to do is give them a call. I paired mine with a lw fidanza flywheel and love it. I'd say give them a shout when u can. Gl
Well its certainly not listed at $400 lol.
Ouch, mistyped the price, will go back and fix post as I meant $500. I paid right around $500 locally from a shop I do business with, almost certain is wasn't list price but I never pay list.
Here is one of my PM's from a sale add on this forum from when I was looking for best price:

im running the act 6 puck with the mods in my list. i hate it and cant wait to get something different. its very noisy and i can get into 2nd gear well at all. i would spend the extra money or save for a twin. you can pm me if you have any questions.
Here's the ACT 6 puck I pulled out of my car last weekend.

Don't expect to get any kind of mileage out of one. This car has less than 14,000 and it's been through the stocker and a 6 puck.

All of out 550-600whp cars use this clutch, including my own 535whp 93 octane daily driver 11.40 @ 123 on 93. The clutches longevity is just fine unless you abuse the car, just like anything else. I know how you drive and it will last you a long time.
The above clutch was abused. We install hundreds of this model and know what they look like under many driving habits.
Most shops raise their installation pricing when outside parts are brought in for installation. Tire kingdom, discount tire direct all do that also when you buy tires online then ask them to install them. Then if the part has a problem and doesn't perform, it causes a mess of who is to blame, who has to pay for removal of the part, who has to ship it back and where and on and on.
If you buy it at the place of installation, if you ever have an issue with the product, you don't have to chase around some internet company to try and help you (that's if they still even exist at the time of need) to try and prove there is a mfr defect, send pics, pay the installer to remove the unit etc just to show pics to someone who probably doesn't give a crap after the sale when they've made their $20.
If it is one of the products we sell that ever has an issue, I have a direct line of communication with the manufacturer, a vested interest to get it fixed. If what I describe on the phone appears warrantable, then we take a unit off the shelf and replace it. The burden is on us to send in the defective part and wait for a RMA replacement to come in. All the while you have been in and out in a day with your replacement clutch already.
Just some things to think about. There is value in buying from your installation facility. Ones with a direct line to the manufacturer and not some internet company that buys from an authorized dealer and not ACT so they can violate minimum price policies put in effect by the manufacturer without having their supply cut off because they don't buy direct from the manufacturer.
