BBK Lite or FP White or *ghasp* stock IX turbo if you want a fast spooling turbo on guv-ment cheese prices.

 

Seems the Evo IX/X turbos are the budget choices for food stamp hot rodders.

Does anyone have insight into why anyone would build an FP White when the Evo X turbo makes the same power? I thought the Evo X and Evo IX were the same unit?

 

Well, because the Evo X turbo turns the opposite way from a IX, for starters...

 

Doesn't intuition suggest that as long as the vanes of the compressor and turbine wheels are pitched in the same rotational direction, there is no "wrong way"?

 

Only if you're not planning to install it on a car manifold made to fit the opposite...
