Another ACT problem?

I recently noticed that after a few runs at the strip awhile back.. I can shift hard 1st -> 2nd -> 3rd but as soon as I try 4th every time i either get locked out grinds it or it goes in but has grind feel every time.. Normal driving it shifts perfectly. I can even fast shift it 3rd to 4th if I am under 7k rpm. I DID slip the clutch a little too much at the track when I did go and I noticed after that. I've read countless post on act's lockout issues and such. With that being said I think I warped the disc causing it not to fully disengage. Am I right in my assumption? Should I just go ahead and fork out the money for the Exedy twin and call it a day? Last night we installed the blox front mount, ams ss clutch line, removed restrictior pill installed buschur shifter bushings and adjusted the clutch with no difference. Granted the car feels much firmer now just have that one issue.

I doubt you warped the disc, but lockout is very common with ACT's. Try raising the engagement point on your clutch pedal; that sometimes helps.

The pressure plate and flywheel are likely warped.

It's the 6 puck sprung hub with street disc it was a mixmatch combo we used with a gruppe-s flywheel. I had a feeling it was warped based on what i've read before. Next question is im not that good and launching the car at all.. i can do decent but will the exedy take the stress of a high slip launch for someone that doesn't do it that much? or will I just end up back at square one again.

Sorry, that makes zero sense? Maybe I'm reading what you typed incorrectly, but which disc did you use? Its either the 6-puck or the street disc unless ACT is now making a clutch with one side organic full face and the other a six puck ceramic? Confused

Don't consider it a waste but a good improvement for the exedy

Shopping around for the cheapest price on one now and buying time.. Car isn't driven every day so i'm not too worried about it and i rarely bang from 3rd to 4th at all.. Most of my "races" or "spirited pulls" I'm over with in a matter of seconds
