Buschur filter replacement?

I have the maf pipe and filter. I would like to replace the filter, and wonder what you guys replaced it with or did you buy another one from buschur. The filter I have rubs the hood.

Perrin The Vibrant filter Buschur sells is a pile of crap. It rusts very quickly and doesn't filter out any particles smaller than a bee.

The AMSOIL ones are nice. I used to have the Buschur/Vibrant filter but switched over to AMSOIL.

you are on a roll over there buddy.

the perrin of course will make more power, is a piece of foam connected to a tube, and its soaked with oil wich is not even good for the MAF people, foam soaks oil very well but it doesnt keep it locked like all the other filters like K&N,,, this is why most preffer a dry filter like AMSOIL or any other.
i would preffer to put a K&N wet filter wich keeps the oil from flying around.

I decided to go with the amsoil because it is a dry filter. I don't have to bother with the oil and all that mess. I got mine for 49 bucks shipped with taxes and everything. I believe they go for like 38 bucks dealer cost.

LOL that is like saying the amsoil is a piece of paper connected to a tube...

Do you have any scientific data that shows the Perrin filter is bad for the MAF or are you just hoping that nobody will take you to court (libel)??? Or are you just a tad biased since you sell Amsoil products ?

From what I have seen and read, both filters are very good....

I prefer a dry filter over an oiled filter; did you guys log Baro when doing your testing? Had you adjusted the tune for each filter you may have seen different results. The MAF readings could have shifted load cells that could account for any of those power differences.

Amsoil gets my vote

-- You stated that a competitors product will damage the Evo MAF, I ask for data backing up such a statement, and your response is that I am biased because I use the competitors product ???

My statements were sincere and straight forward: (1) if there is data the Perrin filter / oil will damage the MAF then I will stop using the Perrin filter, (2) without evidence or data that supports your statement, you are libel - be very careful....

I am in no way affiliated with Perrin or Amsoil, but hate it when vendors bad mouth a competitors product with false or misleading statements.
