There are plenty of good turbo kits on the market, both TS and single. Really no need to go custom unless you plan on building it yourself.
Same on the IC and charge pipes, Plenty have been proven to work at huge HP off the shelf.
I personally run Exedy clutches, some have had good success with ACT, some not. IMO the Exedy Twin HD or triple is the way to go, do it once and do it right.

all the welding is being done by a good friend who has made tons of manifolds and charge pipes for many cars in my area. He does excelent work for a heck of a lot cheaper then what i would pay. I am also a little worried about the clutch not being a twin disk but i belive it should be OK.
With that power you will need a better clutch than the ACT i.e. some type of twin or triple disk. Also, you might want to think about upgrading the transmission as well.
another vote for exedy clutches, at least get a twin in there. And I would not use eagle, but Pauter, Carillo or Crower.
Also on the management I would use something like a Autronic, Vipec or Haltech Platinum, but that depends on the support of those systems in your area, because lots of people are using AEM it doesn't mean that there isn't something better in the same price range.
I would not install a seperate boostcontroller, a proper ecu can handle that better then the XS boostcontroller.

What are you building it for though do you run it on the 1/4 or track it ? Peak hp isn't always everything. Im sure someone is bound to say it too. Torque is where it's at. With a built tranny to suit it with lower gear ratio.
Id say everything you want to have a friend do is fine. What type of material are you going to use ? Is he tig welding all the bends or getting mandrel bends ?
The intercooler I'd go with ETS 4". Garrett core and a reasonable price. Find one used even there always around sometimes not even used yet.
Also change out the rods just personal opinion. Manley Turbo tuffs are my choice but all the other's said where good also.
Clutch Id go with a SPEC twin push type. Or MAP has a really nice twin disk also. No hydraulic TOB needed and its a push type.
Building the tranny is a definite. But you do have a RS so the diff's might hold up.
Edit:
Forgot to say go with a CBRD slim radiator. Way more efficient at cooling, skinnier for added room, and the neck is relocated to the drivers side more.
The more important thing. Save yourself the money and stick with the stock ecu. Start searching the Ecu Flash forum and you'll be all set. Get Mellon to tune it.

Looks good.
Like quite a few has said so far, I would wouldn't go with the eagle rods. I would use crower or manley. As far as clutch goes, I would say at least get one of the various twin disk setups.
The CBRD radiator is a good piece also. Are you in pa? Give CBRD a call about one.
Good luck on your build.

With the power you are looking for... you can't skimp on a clutch and think "it should be ok", because you'll want to kick yourself in the face when it doesn't turn out ok.
Go with a twin/tripple disk..... be happy, stay happy

My only criticism is the Megan exhaust I hate mine it's burned the paint because it exhausts on to the bumper. I would consider a buschur with the mid muffler and a 3.5" dump after the O2. My 2bits but I always like to surprise the next guy. I have read some very good things about Tilton twin clutches. You may also want to consider a meth kit for extra anti boom protection.
Thanks a ton for all the feedback guys, greatly appreciated
*we decided to go with Carillo rods
* ALL the welding will be tig welded no bends =( but im spending about half the cost and hes made over 20 manifolds. Also decided to go twin scroll with 2 44 mil tials.
* As far as the clutch goes we are still up in the air. the car will probably only see high boost about 3 times a year, the rest will be low boost. i am however looking into the exedy twin disk.

Very interested in your build. I also want a solid setup to produce 500+ WHP on gas/meth, but with a Red. I am at the point where I am 90% complete with parts I want to use, but a little uncertain about rods and pistons. I originally purchased Ross Pistons and Manley H rods, but feel the rods need additional muscle and gonna go with Manley TT. Cant make up my mind on the CP or JE pistons though.
I would definitely like to add, once you attain that kind of power, the tranny definitely needs upgrading in addition to at least a twin, but that would depend on what you're intentions are.
anyway, good luck with the build...

I think i saw you already picked better rods so your ok there.
You could run stock ecu just fine with this setup especially in the hands of the right tuner. Also ecu controlled boost would work better then MBC imo.
Other then that everything looks ok.
skip all the extra BS with the head and get a Buschur or AMS stage 3 head, youll be able to run racegas timing on pumpgas with this addition, and 700-750 is a high goal id say ditch the stock intake manifold and go for something better, there are tons of used VSR manifolds running around , if you plan on dragging it then a big plenum magnus or anything like it would be a good idea
and dont for the love of god, replace your stock fuel lines running to the front of the car from the tank with steel braided if you can avoid it, i doubt youll find those a restriction at your power level, and to be honest if your trying to keep costs low this is a place to do it, the lines are only garenteed for like not even 4 years or something, since there exposed to the elements, buschur explained it on his Project White thread, basically said most builds dont need it
