Well to make a long story short I broke the two bolts that are on the hotside, I drilled one out and still have one to go. I took the exhaust manifold off so I would have some room to drill. I decided while I was at it I should ceramic coat my manifold, o2 housing, and hotside. My exhaust is already ceramic coated & wraped. So I did, then put everything back together, Started the car and everything seemed to be ok. Went out to test everything and my turbo won't spool like it used to, alot of laggg. Can anybody please tell me what could be wrong, leak? tune?
I just went through this problem. You need to take the wastegate actuator arm off and put it back on but make sure it is in the closed position. You should have to really tug to get it on there. It might also help if you preload the wastegate.
The way i find easiest to make sure its on right is I put the wastegate actuator on and just move the hotside up until i feel it lock closed and then just tighten the turbo/hotside clamp.
