new setup, will these internals work together?
got a cosworth bottom end. .20 over pistons, non stroker. and i got .288 cams with 1mm over valves. got all the springs and retainers. my only concern is the .288 cams. will they work with 1mm bigger valves and aftermarket aftermarket pistons. using the stock stroke length? what head gasket size should i use? its an ix btw. i dont want my valves to hit pistons, and is there 2mm valves i could get? thanks
does this sound like it will work? and be reliable? i need some input before i have it all assembled, all machine work is already done. will 288 cams work with 1mm over valves or should i go with 2mm over? thanks
What exactly is a ".288" cam?
Installing larger valves doesn't give more airflow by default, and may result in reduced airflow in a stock head. A ported head with factory sized valves will outflow a stock head with larger valve 100% of the time.
