I know this has been beat into the ground but...
Like the topic says i know this has been covered many a times and i have looked but there are so many varying opinions on this.. I am planning on running mobil 1 15w-50 oil in my evo ix on a stock block. Please post if you have run this oil on your stock block or have ran the oil period and give me your feedback.. The summers here are extremely hot and humid and i want run a little thicker oil when the engine is warmer, this being my reason for wanting to run the oil. All comments welcome
i run 15w 50 to. My friends say im retarded. The only bad thing i can say is you have to let the oil warm up a little before driving. Other than that it protects alot better than lighter oil. My dad builds motors and using the heavier oil will help when beating on a motor. So far so good for me did it in my last car to. Can even run a heavier oil in the winter but i like 15w 30 for winter and still let it warm up before leaving always important so you dont oil starve anything.
