How strict is Mitsubishi when it comes to warranty?

How strict is Mitsubishi when it comes to warranty?
Any of you guys ever have to take your car in for service with mods on your car? I only have little things in my mind planned for the EVO, but i will wait out the 3 years if they'll void the warranty.
