Stalling (Crankshaft Position Sensor)

Sup All,

I've been having this stalling issue for a long time now.... All this time I have no clue what the problem is.. So Please help me!

Today, I was looking at some stuff online and I read about crankshaft position sensor...., and I remembered about 3 months ago. I was driving with my friend and all of a sudden my car stalled(engine light came on).... I tried to restart it but failed like 3 times... Waited about 10 minutes, then started fine... Check engine light went away. I scanned the car for code and something about (Crankshaft Position Sensor) failed. At the time I thought nothing of it, I just erased the code and reset the check engine light. The code never came back. I read somewhere that ECM will rarely store a code after cranshaft sensor failed, So maybe that's why it never came back. After that incident, I started having this stalling issue. I thought It was poor ground, so installed a grounding kit. No luck.

The only mods i had at the time are tb exhaust and safc. I looked under the car and found that the o2 sensor wires got melted from the race pipe that that my mechanic had installed. I brought it back to my mechanic (who installed the tb exhaust) and secured the o2 sensor wires away from the race pipe.

All this time I forgot about this incident. Now looking back I think the whole problem is crankshaft position sensor... My Question is:
How is the crankshaft position sensor related to the o2 sensor wire harness that got burnt? Could this be the cause of my problem?

Thanks in Advance!
Lou

Does the SAFC tap into the CKP at all? If it does maybe the wire got pulled lose somehow?... thats my best guess

I think if the CKP is disconnected you will have problems with stalling, and starting.
