Problems with GReddy Profec B - II
Problems with GReddy Profec B - II
I'm having some issues with a GReddy Profec B Spec II boost controller that I just installed. I have only minor mods thus far (3" catback and Apexi EL2 gauges.)
My problem is that I can't get it to boost correctly. Here are my current settings:
Set - 50%
Gain - 15
Set Gain - 1.1 Bar
Warn - 1.4 Bar
What is happening is that in 1st and 2nd, boost builds to 1 Bar, then IMMEDIATELY falls back to .7 Bar, which is around the minimum for the Evo wastegate. If I crank up the Set to around 70-80 then boost does the same in 1st and 2nd, but shoots WAY to high in 3rd and 4th. Duh!
So my problem is two fold, as I see it. First, I can't get high enough boost in low gears. Second, I can't hold boost in low gears. It seems like when the solenoid begins closing, then it fails.
Stock, it ran approximately 1.2-1.3 Bar falling off on the top end. It was pretty consistent for all gears.
Setup? Hoses? (I used the tad bit large ones that came with the Profec?) Leaks?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think evolutionist has it. My wastegate actuator -> control solenoid and turbine housing -> control solenoid lines are switched. I will make the change tonight and update everyone on the results.
Thanks, evolutionist.
