Talking Gota love Sunoco turbo blue!

Well, I didn't stay stock long!

Bone stock I pulled 232 HP and 240 lb-ft torque on 93 octane. After putting on a Blitze air filter, Super AFC II, and a turbo XS boost controler set to 20 psi we were able to tune for 269 HP and 247 lb-ft of torque. Keep in mind this is through the entire stock exhaust system from front to back, and we were not using the IC spray. By putting in some of that beautiful 100 octane Sunoco nector of the Gods and bumping boost up to 23 psi we pulled 303 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque!

I love high octane fuel!

Here are the scans of the dyno sheets...
First is Stock VS Tuned on 93 octane.

And just for contrast, here is Stock VS tuned on 100 octane.

Enjoy!

They have stopped selling 94 octane around here, went with a 91/93 option instead of offering 93 then 94. Bastards!

Same here. Tried a couple tanks, but couldn't feel any difference for the price ( also stock ). Who knows what a dyno would have shown.

There are three "flavors" of turbo blue:

Turbo blue unleaded ..................... 100 octane
Turbo blue leaded ......................... 110 octane
Turbo blue extreme leaded ........... 116 octane

I used the 100 octane unleaded.

Try a couple of tanks of 91, then try a couple tanks of 94. You should notice a slight difference. You won't notice any real difference between 93 and 94 but I am the eternal perfectionist.

I would love to get ahold of some racing gas for a bit... then again I have no boost or a/f or timing management yet.

Fourdoor,

I see you used a Dynapack dyno, how did you get you car in the air to put the rollers on the hubs? jackstands, scissor lift, etc...

I have been looking into this dyno and it seems to yield the most consistent numbers for back to back runs, what were your impressions?

What model is it by the way? 4022, 5032, etc...

And last, where are you located? If you are close to me I would like to come and check it out.

They used floor jacks under the car to lift it. It is a "Dynapack 5000 Evolution" and I found it amusing that all these WRX's are being tuned on something that says "Evolution" on it

It seems very consistant to me as well. It was an 80 deg day, so even with 3 blowers (two pointed at FMIC, one at top of engine) it would start getting lower numbers if we did four runs back to back because the stock ECU richens up the fuel if the engine starts to get hot. All of my dyno runs were done without the IC sprayer to avoid making a mess on the floor. We did one pull with the sprayer bone stock and gained about 5 HP (237 if I remember correctly).
