You better take some video of the speedo on the freeway and you rip through the MPHs!!!
You got me right there

It will be a very tight fit. Worst case, I will put an diferent radiator, take out the AC( either way the AC will be on the way of teh downpipe), and mov ethe shorter radiator forward to the IC.

No problem
The car will be built properly , trust me. We have done some very sick Supras and Zs at our shop:-)

The only problem is the transmission and transfer case, but we will deal it them later, when the car is ready

Drag and highway
500HP is too slow for me. I am used to the big sledge hammer turbos, that throw you on the back seat

I see Monsterous Lag. It might be a good drag car but it won't be a good road-racing car. Smooth power delivery will suffer.

I guess people do make Evo into drag cars, this is America after all.

Like I said, it will hit good at 6000rpms. Unless I use the NOS

Definitely NOT a road race car.

i wanna see some... dyno charts and videos when you're done.

don't kill yourself. (doesn't 500whp throw in your seat enough? )

for the days of open roads in atl
actually stepping up after the downpipe will slow the gas and create back pressure. It's about velocity not size. Don't forget that as gas cools it occupies less volume. If your running straight backwithout a cat the gas will be at it's hottest as it leaves the turbo and will cool a significant amount by the time it reaches the exit of the down pipe.

On every other car stepping down at the cat back will KILL the power. The downpipe is the part that determines the exhaust flow. The downpipe is supposed to be about 1/2 inch bigger than the exhaust wheel. If the downpipe is way too big, it will create turbulance. But now is the first time I hear that a bigger exhaust will REDUCE your performance. We will see...

Look, not trying to be an *** here, but I thought I read you were going from 4.5" down pipe to 5" exhaust. My point was there is no need to step up after the down pipe and doing so does not make any sense from a thermodynamic perspective if your running catless.

I assume you are going to invest in a lot of dyno time with this project correct.... So there will be plenty of time to try varrying exhaust configs
