Hallman MBC install questions

I have read probably every thread and how to on install the hallman mbc lol. However, I see there are two different methods of doing so.

The link below is a great how to, and illustrates both methods.

I think I am going to go with the method of tapping into the bov line because that is what people are saying works best. I am reading the other method of connecting the WG nipple and Jpipe nipple to the MBC can have issues.

Why does the vacuum line from the oem boost solenoid need to be disconnected from the intake pipe and then then both ends needing to be capped?
What method do you prefer and why?

you are disconnecting the vacume lines from the stock bcs solenoid so it doesnt get a reading from the lines. the mbc is now controling your boost not the ecu.
