Fp red little gains ?

Okay so here is the deal I have a 06 MR, car has all the bolt on's I just added a Fp red and have had the car tuned by a very knowledgeable person, the car is only making 400 horse's on 29 pounds of boost, on 93. Will all the upgrades that I have done I was really expecting more power from my current set up, is there anyone out there that has similar modes? would like to know what other people are making with these modes, and also weather or not I am expecting to much from this set up? I mean is 400 really sound right ?

FMIC

I would think you would put down a little more--however, no Cams? So you have a big blower and no duration or lift due to stock cams. If you want more I would look there.

plenty local guys around in my town making 450+ on stock cams with the red on the same boost you are set at, the stock evoIX cams have proven to make power over and over again.

i think the numbers are low but again there are many variables to consider, dyno cal, tunner, how is the car mechanically did the tunner mention something was holding him from a clean power making tune, i dont think is the case because of your boost levels. i personally think you could have made the same power at a couple less lbs

not to make you feel bad just an fyi iam making 374hp 362tq on stock turbo pump 93 on 26lbs, STOCK TURBO

let me ask you this, my tuner is having a really hard time giving the car any timing up top, as soon as he does the car picks up 3 and 4 counts of knock, the car only has 12k on it, so as far as manically goes i would say its sound. could the fact that the car is not taking timing be holding it back?

probably boost leak, did you guys test for leaks before tuning? With a boost leak the car will not take to timing too well, also heat soak can be a big issue(intercooler)

Made 420 on a dyno jet with 26psi on 93

Sometimes when our cars get strapped doen to the dyno tight the downpipe can rubb against your underbody support braces. Depending on the TBE this can happen. If its contacting it when the tuner goes for a pull the banging can rewgister as a phantom knock. Could be your issue, tell your tuner to check. Sorry for the poor explanation , PM me if you need further details

what would be the best way to check for a boost leak, i have a FMIC so there should be no heat soak issues, so it must be a boost leak

make your own tester, search here on the forums how to make a boost leak tester, plenty of peeps have made them.

just like i was thinking your tuner had told you something was holding you back, in your case he had to stop because of knock.

I've seen Reds make less than 400 on mustang dyno's. Your mod list is very small. Your #'s seen right to me

I was going to say either boost leak or i had my downpipe rattle before making the car think it was knocking also.

he could very well be where his car should be on a very very low reading dyno, however he already said his tunner said there was some knock on top leading the tunner to stop to ensure reliability of the engine.

i personally dont tune and have no interest in it, i know enough to ensure my car is running where it should be, and i dont think 3 to 4 counts are in any form harmfull now i think if the 4 counts are progressing as engine loads incrememnt then i guess it would be an issue, specially the OP is seing knock on top, i dont think you would want knock up top at WOT

well when i start to get a 4 count up top it brings timing down, and then I Start loosing power, we are tuning on the street, not a dyno, so The issue with the down pipe does not apply here

Could you be more specific about your mods please. For example, what injectors, what IC, what O2 housing, and etc.?
