no boost pressure?

Hi guys, im new to the evo and just started work on it. There seems to be a problem with boost as the boost gauge is showing no boost pressure, we checked all the wiring and everything seemed to be fine, then we checked the mbc and there is no boost pressure in the line before or after the mbc. We are thinking it is the wastegate and its stuck open, i read on here that it could be the wastegate selnoid (sp) which causes the wastegate to remain open.

We took the car out for a spin and everything seems to work fine and it runs strong but no boost pressure from the wastegate out....

any ideas what it could be?? Thanks

what line do you have your boost gauge tapped into? And as mentioned above does it still read vaccum

On the meter you will see it boost, or if it is the gauge pod from mitsu (or most other boost gauges) if the arrow points down, that will show the vacuum pressure in the intake lines. The whole point to see if it is registering the vacuum pressure is if it is just the pod, or a problem with the WGA.
