Evo 9 Waistegate - Help

I just got my evo 9 turbo today and the wastegate is damaged, it looks like UPS droped it and it put a dent on the top, so I was wondering if I could still run this evo 9 wastegate, or is the damage too much, I have the waistgate off my evo 8 turbo, but the hinges are different and so is the waistgate, what do ya think

as long as it's still sealed and not interfering with the internals, it should be fine. but you might be safer just coughing up the $40 or so to pick up a used stock one from someone who has upgraded.

That looks pretty bad. Install it and check to see how it function with an air compressor.

how did you check it? put a tube on it via a bike pump and pump it and if the arm actuates it works..... if the diaphram inside is punctured then its as good as garbage.

Yes, how exactly did you verify functionality?
