I've been running my FP Red since last year on 25psi daily with no problems on the stock line but only because my fittings around the filter housing and at the head leaked like a ****. Anyway I got frustrated with it and put the stocker back on. I have since talked to Robert at FP and he apologized for my inconvienence and hooked me up by only charging me $50 for a whole brand new upgraded kit so now I have some extra lines and stuff. I haven't installed it yet since I just got it and my car has been sitting on a lift for 3wks awaiting a new Shep TC

I installed my turbo in late July and made my first drag passes with it on Aug. 3. It has been very reliable. I have not taken it on a road course though.
Got mine early as well. Once some people started really pushing the upper limits there were a few that seized from the lack of oil pressure at the head. I dont think you will have any problems at all under 28 PSI, but if your warranty is still good then its best to upgrade the line.

I installed with a stock line, then when the braided line came out I got that, and then when the oil filter housing line came out I switched to that. I'm tired of monkeying with the oil feed line but I would never take chances on something this cheap. The second upgrade was only $30.

I upgraded once to the old ss line. That one is still covered under warranty. I plan to change over soon. I actually know one of the people who had a problem with their red. I have had no issues so far I am happy to say.

I recently had my Red installed with the new oil housing line...

I'll be tracking my car at the next Redline Time Attack event on my low boost tune of 23psi this weekend (problems with my stock BOV and wastegate will not allow me to run my race gas tune)...

With nobody truly running their Red as a "road course" turbo we'll see how it holds up over this weekend...

fingers crossed...

I got the red and the upgraded lines all at once better to be safe then sorry, i think it is kind of silly that fp doesnt require you to buy the line kit when buying a red.

However, the issue for me is that it's better to keep the turbo properly oiled than argue about warranties Feeding from then head (whatever line you use) does not guarantee the oil pressure that feeding from the filter does. So just buy the proper hose the first time (the NEW FEED FROM THE FILTER line kit) and save yourself the grief...

My .02

Naa, whats to say you bought it from someone else, or received it as a gift. They should not have to use that as a decision maker or breaker. They should have techs look at the turbo, diagnose the problem, and then come to a hypothesis for the malfunction.

Its totally their discretion on warranty.

I would purchase it, just for the piece of mind knowing if something did go wrong, its one less reason to not get the turbo covered under warranty.
