ATF in the engine??? ; (
With ATF, you'll really clean out the engine with all the detergents that are in it 
I'd drain it out. I wouldn't worry about flushing it out if all you did was pour in a 1/4 quart. If you poured in 4.5 quarts than I'd probably flush it out.
