Carrillo Rods + CP Pistons in a stroker
Hey all,
Im thinking of ordering a set of Carrillo Rods + CP stroker pistons and combining them with a OEM 100mm 4g64 crank.
Would this be a tough, reliable setup? Good for RPM? Or should I stick with an I beam rod?
Regards,
Alex

There is a school of thought that prefers one type of rod over another depending upon the application, but unless you're really going to put the screws to it (e.g. 600 ft/lb), I'm not sure it's worth the concern.

CP pistons are very good, Ive used them in quite a few builds and I know a lot of guys making extreme HP with them. Carillo rods are probably the best money can buy, so you cant go wrong with them either.
STay away fromt he ATI damper.. USe a FLuidampr.. Carrillo and CP is a good Combination.. We use those in all My busa builds from 240hp all motor to 631whp Turbo.. I beleive manley Turbo tuff will do just as well though for your goals.. good luck!!
