I think my ACD pump has gone to hell. was curious if this could be considered a drivetrain part?

well, in my professional opinion of working in a OEM chassis department.... Yes.

The pump controls fluid for a driveline component, so a drivetrain dept. would control the part, therefore I would consider it a drivetrain part controlled by transmission grp

 

God I hope so, I have a few miles on the clock 80K but still under the 100K drivtrain warranty. Please let this be right

I'm getting mine replaced under warrenty next week. I'll find out what they consider it part of

 

I just had it replaced and they told me it was covered under the basic warrenty. I thinks thats the 5 year, 50,000 mile or something like that. They said it was not considered part of the drivetrain. Hope this helps.

 

according to the Mitsubishi dealer link, the ACD pump is only covered 5yrs/60000miles

It is not powertrain.

 

yeah that's what my dealer told me as well........thankfully mine went out at 55k miles and I got it replaced with no questions asked.

5/60 and a new one is like $2300
