Firstly, thanks for all the wealth of info!

I had the car run on another DD dyno yesterday and it made 235kw, every dyno seems to be calibrated differently and reads different power levels, however the curve was consistent.

How much air does a FP green flow and How much does a FP red flow? How much flow does a 3037s produce as well?

The tuner did increase the boost to 1.8bar from 1.7 which actually just caused a small dip in power and then back up again. Lowering the boost to 1.7bar actually gave consistent curve in the top end.

All fuel flow, compression tests ect were done and the engine is super healthy, the turbo is just running out of puff in the top end.

i dont mind giving up about 400rpm max if the gain will be substantial. The engine can rev to 8000rpm just isnt now as there is no point.

I'll post up the new dyno graph tonight.

The guy already said "no lag", "daily driver", and you still suggest GT series turbos!!

Ami, if you want around ~450WHP then FP Red with .80 compressor would be the perfect choice!! However, you will have to sacrifice around 500+ rpm in spool!! with the 2.2 stroker, it will behave pretty much like a stock turbo with a stock bottom end(no stroker)

If you want ~400WHP then CBRD's BBK-full turbo is the very first choice!! It spools exactly like a stock turbo(like your current setup), while it produces ~400WHP on a low-reading dyno. Moreover, if you order this turbo, it will take 5 days max to get it while it might take you 6 weeks to get the Red.

The good thing about the BBK-Full turbo is the fact that it does not lose a lot of boost at higher RPM!! It goes really hard to 8000RPM which makes it one of the very best turbos on the market now!! Plus, CBRD(Chad Block) is one of the top vendors in terms of service quality.

Hope that helps

I would go with FP Red if it was my car

this issue isnt a clear one..

we have over 220 of these turbos distributed worldwide... suprising you dont see more bbk dissapointed owners than one that was posted by someoe that isnt even the owner of the car

i think our positive response to the bbk are pretty evident

cheers

BBK Full or HTA Green will give you a super broad power curve and easily hit your numbers...

It depends . i think you'd be fine with a bbk full or a red turbo , even a 35R or perhaps a 3076 . The numbers on here are very different from the ones we get in Australia to Ami . People here making over 500whp with no meth on a 35R are struggling to make 450whp with every mod under the sun in Australia . I don't know why .

Either way a green wont get you there on our dynos . You need something like a bbk full or a 35R i think . I have a 35R on a 2L and am making full boost around 4200rpm which i find is still fine for daily driving . each to there own though

I have to agree our fuel here is SA is similar to yours and I have been pondering exactly the same question: highest output 24psi Turbo for a stroker that will get full boost around 4000rpm or so... And these last few weeks the same answer keeps popping up HTA35R with a T3 .63 Hotside...

I have almost the same setup I made 439whp but I have the HTA35R from Buschur and I have kelford 272's over the HKS cams. I got 28 more whp with the kelfords alone. I was tuned on 91 octane with 24.5 psi.

FP Red's with my tuning range from 415 to 450awhp on 93 octane with bolt ons, no head work, just cams, fmic, injectors etc...

I'll have a new HTA Green here today and should get some interesting 93 octane data to compare, it might make more than the Red. I tuned the same car on a BBK Full recently and it made 387awhp/353tq also on 93 octane.
